Wedding season is officially underway here in Chicago! The weather has been pleasant, peonies are blooming, and my social media feeds are full of vendors sharing their gifts with sweet couples.

One of my favorite parts of working with my clients is helping them to define and express their style. It's important they are dressed in the same style as their wedding and our process together is so fun. Tying all of the gorgeous and thoughtful details into the event design combined with super chic couples and bridal parties that result in a personalized, cohesive and stylish celebration is one of my main objectives as a planner. There's really nothing quite like seeing all of those meticulous plans and important, (often difficult!) decisions come to life. 

While I often help brides, grooms, their moms, and their bridal party, I never get the chance to help style their guests. Since the season is upon us, I thought it would be fun to round up some of my favorite dresses for the wedding guest. Of course I think black is always chic, but I love all of the soft colors and neutral is always safe at a wedding. It's nice not to go too bold unless you know you won't clash too much with what the couple has planned. Just be sure you don't go too neutral that you're in the white zone. That is a big no-no. No matter what length, what neckline, what embellishments, or any other details of the dress. It's off limits. I also included a really versatile pair of heels and darling clutch that would be great compliments to any of these dresses.
