One Year of So Dressed Up Life + Style

It's hard to believe Friday will be one year since my first blog post. I guess it's true- time flies when you're having fun! A year ago I was excited and anxious to launch my blog. It was a project that had been on my heart for a while but I intentionally waited until I could work on making it everything I wanted it to be before committing to the journey. I'm so glad I did. While I still have lots of dreams for this space, my first year blogging far exceeding any expectation I had. It has become something so much bigger than I ever imagined, and I'm so grateful for the community I've gained and the support I have received.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to take my survey. And congrats to Virgie for winning the $50 gift card! <3

I received so much positive feedback and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts with me. To best serve you, I'll be doing much more of the same- posts on motherhood and family traditions, easy and healthy recipes, fashion and gift guides; all with the hope of helping make your days a little easier and hopefully, inspired. There were a lot of requests for home decor, so I'll be working on getting you some of those posts this year as well. There were also some requests for fitness and my journey in that arena, so you can expect a little of that sprinkled in too.

As we are looking to a new year, I want to be sure you all know I became part of the Like To Know It network which will make it really easy for you to shop our favorite products, clothing, and so much more both here on the blog and on Instagram. Be sure you're signed up with LTK and anytime I post an image on Instagram that is shop-able, you can "like" or screen grab it and all the product details will be emailed directly to you! It's so convenient. I don't always double up on posting the same things on my blog and on Instagram so for everyone wanting more style finds, be sure to check both spots!

You may have also noticed during the holidays, I have added a few more galleries to my Shop Page that will have items I'm posting about here on the blog, items on my wish list, our tried and true favorites and more.  So be sure to check there often, as I'll be updating it regularly.

Looking back on this incredible first year, I would be remiss if I didn't thank a few people who have been instrumental in the success of this new venture.

I want to send a big virtual hug to my dear friend Erin of Madison Lane Photography. She has been so generous to me and has played such a part in building my blog through our weekly chats, her education and her encouragement. Thank you for sharing your gifts with me.  I'm so grateful for you, Erin!!

To my best girl who has so happily helped mama work on the blog. Who has made this so fun as we make recipes together and take lots of pictures together in between dance parties and hugs. Who has understood the times when I needed more time on the computer and worked alongside me on her blog, too. You are my everything, sweet girl.

The biggest thanks to my amazing hubbie for his relentless support of me and all of my endeavors. I've had quite a few dreams (some more like crazy ideas! :) ) in the last almost 15 years and not once has he ever questioned me. He's the first one to cheer me on and happy to make whatever sacrifice is necessary to help me. I could say so many more things, but I'll just say thank you for being you. You're the best and the most and I'm so thankful for you.

And last but certainly not least, thank you all again so much for following along. Thank you for supporting this journey and loving our little family. I'm so excited for what's in store this year and I'm so grateful for each and every one of you. I'm always working on making this space the best it can be and would love to hear from you any time. If you ever have any questions, requests for posts, or anything else-- just send me a note at katie@sodressedup.com

xoxo!!
