A Sweet Halloween Bucket

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend.

Olivia and I spent the day Halloween decorating and pumpkin crafting on Saturday and Chris raced the Chicago marathon yesterday, so it was a full and exciting one for us. {Chris killed it by the way, finishing at 2:44!!)

We always treat Olivia to a few seasonal goodies around the various holidays and we were excited to surprise her with this year’s gift as part of our big Halloween crafting day on Saturday. I shared a sneak peak the the basket I put together for her on Friday and I was flooded with sweet messages and questions. It was honestly a bit unexpected, but it was so fun and so appreciated.

I did go through the basket on my Insta stories that day, but thought I’d share a little round up here in case you missed it there, and I hope it helps inspire a little treat for the babes in your life. <3

I always have so much fun scouring special treats for her and I really love all of my finds this year. It’s so hard to pick a favorite but I am alwaysextra excited about the pink finds, since those can be tricky to score this time of year.

We’ll start with the flag! Can you even?! When I saw these last month I just couldn’t help ordering one. I asked Whimsical Darlings Co to add a little pink bow to the ghost and I’ll just tell you I gasped when I opened the box! It’s so precious. Sweet and festive and still her favorite color. Trifecta! It took a few weeks to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. I feel like this will be a Halloween staple for years to come! 💕 {If you’re up for making your own flag, there is a digital download of the boo pennant, too!}

As you know, I always hit the Target dollar bins for fun little seasonal goodies. I included a couple different sheets of stickers, a little wooden paint project, and this sweet princess tiara headband- all only $1 each. I also grabbed her these cute kitty mittens (because I’m sure she’ll lose a million in kindergarten!) and a pair of blush velour leggings. Since all she wears is dresses, we have a ton of leggings on hand to wear underneath and these looked extra cozy for cooler fall temps.

I bought the little black spiderweb bags for the goodie bags I’m making for Olivia’s class and used an extra to put in some friendship bracelet making string, which she had asked for a while ago.

Last but not least is this little “hi pumpkin” tee shirt from Charlie and Quinn. Earlier this month, my dear friend shared a snap of her little boy in a sweet tee shirt they made and when I landed on the new-to-me brand’s website of darling organic tees, I just fell in love. Since she would never wear black, orange, purple, etc! I love that she can feel festive without having to ditch her signature shade in this tee...She will only wear pink so this is perfect! I actually call her my pumpkin girl all the time, too so when I saw it I just had to scoop it up! I can’t wait for her to wear it! I must say we always gift at least one book for each holiday but I was having a hard time finding one for her for Halloween this year. She has so many and honestly, they just aren’t her most loved reads. And since finding pink Halloween apparel seemed like a diamond in the rough, we just decided to do this instead this time around.

I had a lot of questions about the pink pumpkin bucket. I scored that at Home Goods about a month ago and couldn’t wait to spray paint it pink for my girl. I love that we can repurpose it as decor, or to hold all of her above mentioned Halloween books. The color I used is called Ballet Slipper. You may get lucky with something similar at a HG trip, but I’ve linked a couple similar styles below too. <3

Thanks again for all of the sweet messages- they mean to the world to me!

I’m overjoyed Olivia is home from school today for the holiday and can’t wait for a day with my girl. I miss having her to myself.

xoxo
